justin arellano

point guard/shooting guard

“Too quick to catch, too hard to stop.”

Justin is the fastest player on the Coyotes, bringing a level of speed and athleticism that few on the team can match. As a volleyball player, his vertical ability is one of his defining physical advantages, giving him exceptional elevation when attacking and finishing. His quick reflexes and explosive first step allow him to react to plays almost instantly, while his drive speed makes him one of the most dangerous players on the team when he has a lane to the basket.

Justin's handle is equally suited to his pace. He can change direction quickly, accelerate past defenders, and create separation before they have time to react. At times, his speed can cause him to occupy more space on the floor than necessary, but when he finds the right balance, his explosiveness becomes extremely difficult to contain. There is also a natural finesse to his game that sets him apart from many of his teammates.

That finesse is particularly noticeable in his shooting. Justin possesses a smooth jumpshot and uses his vertical to create a high, difficult-to-contest mid-range arc. His ability to rise above defenders gives him an additional scoring option when driving lanes close, allowing him to turn his athleticism into controlled and creative offence.

ABOUT

PLAYING STYLE

Explosive Speedster

Justin's greatest weapon is his speed. His fast handle, sharp reflexes, and exceptional drive speed allow him to attack before defenders can properly establish themselves, making him one of the Coyotes' most dangerous transition and isolation threats.

Vertical Shot Creator

Justin combines his volleyball-developed vertical with a smooth shooting motion to create a difficult mid-range game. His elevation gives his jumper a natural arc and allows him to shoot over defenders who would otherwise be able to contest.

Finesse Attacker

Rather than relying solely on athleticism, Justin possesses a smoothness and finesse that makes his offensive game distinctive. His quick movements, controlled handle, and ability to change pace allow him to create openings in ways that few other players on the team can replicate.
